I just realized that I haven't written a post about the happenings in my life in a LONG time! So I decided to do so now. I know that most of you already know everything, but maybe not everyone, or everything.
This semester is beginning to wind down, THANKFULLY! We have less than a week in a half before Thanksgiving break, and following break we have about one in a half weeks of school, including finals before we are completely done!! YAY!
Classes have been going well. I'm still struggling with the science class, but my grades are getting better in that, which is good. Please keep praying.
My internship at the Christian school has been interesting to say the least. Mrs. Whitaker, the original teacher resigned, and so for a long time all that the class had was substitute teachers. It was kinda interesting. Now they have a new teacher, Miss Snider, and she's VERY hard to intern for. She has me teaching a 4th grade history lesson, and a 3rd grade science lesson every week. I really like teaching, but it's a lot of work to add to the work that I already have to do!
I enjoy my job for the most part, although I'm not getting nearly enough hours. Only about 8 hours a week, and that's not nearly enough to get me through. I had started to look for another job, but I decided to wait until next semester, because I'm not sure if any other job will let me take Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks off and I REALLY need those breaks!
Of course the most important thing right now is Jason! ;) He has been deployed for quite awhile, but thankfully his deployment ends THIS WEEK!!! I'm SOOOOOO excited! It seems like he's been deployed FOREVER! On top of that in 23 days (I think) he's flying back to the US, and in 27 days we will FINALLY get to meet!!! I CAN'T WAIT! He is coming down here to Shawnee December 12 and 13 to spend the weekend. School gets out either the 16th or 17th and Jason is coming to my house on the 17th through the 22nd, and then we are going to his house the 22nd through the 27th when he has to go back to Japan. I'm sure it will be an AMAZING time!
Anyway, that's a brief summary of my life right now...sorry it's been so long since I last updated all of you and I will try to do it more often in the future.

At long last the answer has come:
JASON'S LEAVE WAS APPROVED!!!! :)
He is going to be getting home on December 8th and leaving on the 27th. We will get to spend 11 or 12 days together and that is EXCITING! :)

100th post!

This post is the 100th post that I've ever written!! I can't believe that I've written so much or that it has been so long since I started this blog!
I got 9 1/2 hours of sleep last night! It was kinda by accident that I got that much though. I went to sleep around 10:30 and was planning on getting up at 7:30 like I usually do on Saturdays. Well, I heard my first two alarms go off at 7:20 and 7:25, but apparently I slept through my 7:30 alarm! OOPS!! I didn't wake up until 8.
Bus route was interesting. It was raining and whenever that happens we usually drive the route. Well, I was dying to be outside, so I asked Margaret if she minded walking the route. She said that was fine with her, we both wanted the exercise. So we were dropped off at one end of the route. It was pouring rain! Neither one of us is sure if it was such a great idea that we wanted to walk. We both got thoroughly drenched and looked like drowned rats! LOL! It was nice to walk though. :) We both froze! When we got back to the dorms I took a REALLY hot shower!
This afternoon daddy called me and said that he found a possible car for me. :) It is a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass, with only 45,000 miles on it! He said that it looks like it has hardly been driven at all! The only problem is that they want $2,700 for it! There is no way that I can afford that. However the guy is interested in an alarm system, so he might be willing to do a little bit of trading for the car. I'm praying that if this is what God wants that it will work out.
I have lots of homework to do. Both of my English classes have quite a bit due for Monday. There is homework for World History, plus a test, plus I am teaching in it on Friday, so I'm working on my lesson for that. I also have chapter themes due for New Testament Survey, so I have plenty to do today. I can't wait until school is done. Only a few more weeks! YAY!! :)
As you can see, I already changed my background. I liked the flip flops, but it was a little too busy for me, and after only a few days, I couldn't take it anymore!!! I decided to go with something MUCH simpler!! I think it is much easier on the eyes, or at least my eyes!! LOL

Such is Life
Well, my words came back to bite me today! It snowed! :( :( Of all the crazy things! It's April and almost Easter!! Good grief. However it only snowed for about 10 minutes and none of it stuck! At least we didn't have the blizzard conditions of the mid-west, at least we haven't had those conditions yet!!
Nothing too exciting happened in my first two classes of the day. Chapel was EXCELLENT! Bro. Dan Donaghue, the principle of the Christian school, preached today. His topic was about trophies. He brought with him 5 trophies as illustrations. He listed Eve, Lot, Samson, and David, he had a trophy for each one of those, as he talked about the sin that they committed that allowed the devil to take them over he put their trophy on one side of the platform. Then he came to the final trophy, it was a gold cup. He held it up and said, "This is you life. The devil wants it for himself and he is going to send things your way that will try to make you sin and ruin your life. You could have a really good life, be desiring to do right but just 5 minutes could ruin your life forever." What a sobering thought. How easy it would be for me to slip in any area of my life and completely destroy anything that I could do for God in just a few minutes of time. Scary. It's sooo important for me to maintain a close walk with God.
New Testament Survey is where life started to get exciting. We had a test. UGH! I was not at all prepared for it! I had fallen asleep last night studying for it and none of it was really sticking in my head. A lot of it was fill in the blank so I was able to figure it out, but I have NO idea how it really went.
For some reason choir went really fast today! That normally isn't the case for me, but it seemed to fly today, which was really nice.
I had a voice lesson this afternoon. It went well, even if I did keep frowning!! :-S I'm going to get at least one new song next week!! I'm really excited. :) So far I've learned "God Hears My Prayers," "Love Lifted Me," and I am working on "Everlasting Love." I love the words to "God Hears My Prayers" they are really pretty!
This afternoon I started job hunting for the summer! I filled out 3 applications online, made 18 phone calls, and sent 2 emails!! I got quite a few "No," several "pick up an application," and several "call backs." Please pray that I find something so that I will have a job by the time I get home in May.
I counted the amount of days of school, and there are 36 days until graduation, but only 34 days of school left, that includes weekends!! I'm amazed at how fast this semester is flying by! It's really scary!
