Is it Just Me??

This morning when my alarm I really didn't want to get up. After all it was early, it was dark outside, and no one else was up in my room. I really wanted to reset my alarm for about 30 or 45 minutes later. Mmmmm…sleep. The problem was that I knew that if I did that then I wouldn't have my devotions. I reasoned, "I'm so tired because yesterday was an insane day. Surely God will understand, after all the reason I was so busy yesterday was because I was busy for Him, I wasn't just goofing off all day." But the other side of me was arguing, "Hey! The 'spiritual' stuff you were doing yesterday won't carry over into today...each day you have to be renewed and you need to spend time with God TODAY! Don't live your life relying on yesterdays experiences, live life moment by moment with Christ." Thankfully I listened to the better side of the argument and got up and had sweet fellowship with my Savior. Sadly, that's not always the case for me...sometimes I do reset my alarm. I am wondering if I'm the only one who has that problem every day, or if anyone else also struggles? How do you overcome that problem?

Honesty Tag

I was just awarded the Honest Scrap award from Rosebud!

The Rules:

I need to...

1. Say thanks and link to the person who gave you the award.

2. Share ten "honest" things about myself (in some of these cases, I have discovered that the word "honest" is synonymous with "embarrassing").

3. Award this to seven people who's blog design/content I admire or who have encouraged me, and inform them of their win and of the rules of this award.

Now I will list my ten honesties: ;)

1. I really want to go to Japan

2.I really like to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee and a big blanket on a cold winter day and read for hours.

3. I play the piano and cello, and took violin lessons for a couple of years when I was in junior high

4. I want to learn to play precussion some day.

5. I have to set 3 alarms every morning, or else I do not wake up!

6. I really hate mornings, but ever since I began college, I've learned that mornings are the ONLY quiet time in the dorms, so now I get up early, just to have some peace and quiet.

7. I want to be a teacher when I grow up! :)

8. I REALLY like chocolate, coffee, and ice cream!

9. People who are nosy and create a TON of drama drive me UP THE WALL!!!

10. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL DECEMBER 12TH!!!
I award the "Honest Scrap" award to:

Jason just because... :)

Elizabeth J. because her blog is always so full of Godly, uplifting little tid-bits that are a great encouragement t0 me.

Bethany A. cuz I don't think Rosebud tagged her earlier! :)

Kylo because I know that he will probably roll his eyes and say, "meh, whatever!" and eventually, he MIGHT do it!! :P

And other than that, I really don't have any one else to tag...

I know it says to award seven people, but I don't necessarily have seven to choose. :P Hope you enjoyed!!

I'm going to answer some questions that have been asked of me:
First of all, why am I going for Secondary Ed instead of Elementary Ed? A lot of people have asked me that over the past couple of years. Here are my reasons: I strongly believe that God has called me to help teens. Secondly, I want to teach the "hard" classes that will hopefully help high schoolers decided what God has called them to do. I want a houseful of kids some day, but I don't think I could teach little kids for 20 or 30 years, I don't have that much patience!!
Next question: How did I bribe Adreonna the other day when she was mad at me? I tried EVERYTHING! Candy, chocolate, promises to do things with her...all to no avail! Finally I found a stuffed animal and took it out to her and told Adreonna that the animal was sad because it couldn't go with me to NY. So I asked her to take care of it for me. That finally brought a smile to her face. I felt soooooo bad!!
How am I getting back to New York? I'm flying via South West Airlines from Midway in Chicago to MacArthur on Long Island.
I will try to sum up my break in fifty words or more, that might be a little hard though...I'll try.
I got into Chicago to snow, by the time I got home though, there was no snow! I was VERY disappointed!! Chicago was getting lake effect, but not us. :( For the first week in a half or so I was feeling great! Got to sleep in, text with friends in NY and elsewhere, visit with friends here, and pretty much to nothing! It was WONDERFUL!! Then one day I doubled over in pain while I was eating a meal. For the next 3 weeks I ate almost nothing, and went from doctor to doctor, and test after test before finally the docs found out that my gallbladder was VERY diseased and needed to come out! They got me in for surgery the next day, it went well and now I am ready to go back to school!
While I was home I also was able to go into the jail several times. That is always a blessing to me.
I also played my cello for a wedding and did several Christmas programs.
OK, is that at least 50 words??
